I took this picture on the first day of getting my Christmas tree. I like this picture because it has asymmetrical balance with the rule of thirds just how Diane Arbus did it. Naturally, your eyes are drawn to the tree just how her picture was, and it showed a ton of value. This picture shows value with the lighting especially in black and white. It also has balance to it, from the tree and the door, to the small tables; they give the picture a nice balance. I tried to create space in this picture by moving the furniture around in my house. In this picture, your eyes are naturally drawn to the tree, which is emphasis.
